Here's When The Teaser Of Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar Starrer '2.0' Will Release

The sequel of Rajinikanth starrer ‘Robot’ has been in the news ever since it went on floors in 2015. The film titled ‘2.0’ has Rajinikanth as the protagonist, while actor Akshay Kumar will be essaying the role of the antagonist, with Amy Jackson as the female lead. The bilingual film (will be releasing in Tamil and Hindi ) had made headlines for its release date. Earlier this year, the makers had finalised November 29 as the release date.

The teaser of the film was scheduled to release on the occasion of Independence Day. However, the makers decided against it, owing to the catastrophic floods in Kerala at the same time.  While talking to a web portal, the director of the film, S. Shankar had revealed that Rajinikanth had asked not to publish the teaser at a time when people in Kerala were in distress. However, the director also revealed that the teaser will now be launched on September 13, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The day marks the beginning of the 10 day Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

The film had first sparked curiosity when an image of Akshay Kumar had leaked from the sets of the film in early 2017. Akshay Kumar, who is collaborating with Rajinikanth for the first time, looked menacing in the image that went viral. This is also the first time the 'Padman' actor will be seen in South Indian film. 

Recently, a video from the sets of the film had gone viral with actress Amy Jackson in focus. The video was released by BBC and had Amy Jackson, choreographer Bosco and the 3D stereographer, Ray Hannisian.‘2.0’ is the first Indian film to make use of 3D cameras and some intense VFX used.

The first installment titled 'Enthiran' (2010)  in Tamil had Rajinikanth in a double role with Aishwarya Rai playing the female lead. '2.0' is expected to have a grand start at the box-office owing to the humongous fan following enjoyed by the two actors.
