Here's Who Will Play Amit Shah In Vivek Oberoi's 'PM Narendra Modi' Biopic

The makers of the much-anticipated biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the name of the actor who will be portraying Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah in the film.

Starting from Dr. Manmohan Singh's 'The Accidental Prime Minister' to 'Thackeray,' and now with 'PM Narendra Modi,' looks like 2019 is a year of interesting biopics. Recently, the makers of the much-anticipated biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the name of the actor who will be portraying Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah in the upcoming venture.

As per media reports, the film which stars Vivek Oberoi as the Indian Prime Minister has roped 'Phir Hera Pheri' actor Manoj Joshi for playing the role of BJP chief.

Media reports suggest Manoj had turned down his previous commitments to say yes to the project. Talking about his role in the film, he reportedly said that he is very excited to play the role of the political leader who has a major contribution in shaping Indian politics.

Meanwhile, the actor reportedly confirmed the news by sharing a report stating the same in his official Facebook handle. He also unveiled his first look from the film where he can be seen resembling Amit Shah very closely.

The biopic will follow the journey of PM Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as Chief Minister onto his landmark win at the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the Prime Minister of India. As per media reports, 'PM Narendera Modi' will also feature Darshan Kumaar, Boman Irani,  Zarina Wahab, Prashant Narayanan, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Akshat R Saluja, Anjan Shrivastav, Rajendra Gupta and Yatin Karyekar.

The film will be directed by Omung Kumar, who has previously helmed some critically acclaimed biopic films including 'Mary Kom' and ' Sarbjit'. It is going to be produced by Suresh Oberoi and Sandip Singh under the banner of Legend Global Studio. Reportedly, the film will be shot across Gujarat, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, among other locations in the country, over a period of a few months.
