Much to the delight of fans, it was recently revealed that South superstar Nagarjuna is all set to make his Bollywood comeback in the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra'. It must have certainly taken something special for the actor to star in a Bollywood film after a long gap of 15 years and if reports are to be believed, the actor gave an instant nod to the film. The actor was last seen in JP Dutta's 'LOC Kargil' (2003).

As per reports, Nagarjuna was extremely amazed by his role in 'Brahmastra' and immediately agreed to join the star cast which includes Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan among others. Nagarjuna reportedly said that since his career down South keeps him busy, he hasn't shown any special interest towards Hindi cinema. He, however, added that he is willing to do films in any language if the set up is good. Talking about 'Brahmastra', Nagarjuna went on to say that he was instantly blown away by the script and gave it an immediate nod.

Last month, producer Karan Johar welcomed Nagarjuna to the team of 'Brahmastra' and the star was seen posing with Ranbir, Alia and director Ayan Mukerji. Karan Johar in his post said, "We are honoured and exceptionally excited to have the one and only @iamnagarjuna doing an extremely “special” role in our film #BRAHMASTRA !! Directed by Ayan Mukerji @SrBachchan @aliaa08 #RanbirKapoor ...thank you sir for your love and your beautiful energy!"

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna's son Akhil Akkineni's presence on the sets of the film recently sparked rumours that the actor is a part of the film as well. However, it is possible that Akhil was on the sets visiting his father Nagarjuna.

'Brahmastra' directed by Ayan Mukerji also stars Mouni Roy who will be seen playing a negative role in the film. The film involves some high octane action sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor. The 'Brahmastra' team wrapped up their first Bulgaria schedule in March and the film has already been creating a lot of buzz following rumours of a relationship between its leads, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The first part in the trilogy is set for August 15, 2019 release.
