Herschelle Gibbs, former South African batsman bid adieu to Alia Bhatt after a few 'funny' hours on Twitter where they engaged in some social media banter

In a comedy of errors, former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs used an Alia Bhatt GIF on social media and when netizens asked her about, Gibbs stated that he did not have any idea that she was an actress. This led to a Twitter banter between him and Alia Bhatt and just a few hours back, Gibbs shared yet another GIF stating that it has been a 'few funny hours' conversing with the Bollywood actress.

BEFORE GIBBS BID ADIEU: 

After Gibbs was informed by a netizen that Alia Bhatt was a Bollywood actress, the latter responded with a GIF gesturing boundary like that of an umpire. To which, Gibbs responded stating that he has had only sixes and not any fours. Check out the tweets below- 

GIBBS' CRICKETING CAREER: 

Herschelle Gibbs played 90s test, 248 ODIs and 23 T20s for the Proteas. He then went to make 6167 runs in the longest format of the game whereas he scored 8094 runs in ODI cricket.  Gibbs was known for his fielding in the cricketing fraternity and went on to make some amazing catching for the Proteas.

ALIA BHATT'S PROFESSIONAL FRONT: 

Alia Bhatt who last appeared in Karan Johar's 'Kalank' recently wrapped the Ooty schedule of 'Sadak 2'. The upcoming venture directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt also stars her sister Pooja Bhatt alongside Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Apart from that, she will be seen in Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film is all set to release in 2020. 

She was also to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Inshallah', but the film has been shelved as of now due to 'creative differences'.
