Highest grossing movies: From Gully Boy to War, see a list of blockbuster hits of 2019

Around 1500 films are produced every year by the Indian Film Industry in more than 20 languages. Bollywood has seen a countless number of hits and misses in this year. There have several blockbusters who have made it to the 100 Crore club. Today, we decided to list five of the highest-grossing Indian movies of 2019.

War

The film War has earned a total collection of ₹ 314.67 Crore net at the box office surpassed the lifetime business of Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie comprises some breathtaking action sequences around two men - Khalid and Kabir. The film also stars Ashutosh Rana and Vaani Kapoor in significant roles.

Kabir Singh

This romantic drama is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. The film features Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. This Bollywood counterpart made a whopping ₹277 crores at the domestic box office, making it one of the highest-grossing films of the year.

Kesari

The movie is based on the true story of the Battle of Saragarhi in 1897. The film revolves around the story of the army of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought against 10,000 Afghans. Starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles, the epic drama made a collection of over ₹140 crores in 18 days.

Bharat

It is no surprise that most Salman Khan’s films make it to the 100 crore club. Co-starring Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Tabu, the film grossed ₹ 211 crores at the box office. The film is Salman Khan’s sixth film to cross ₹ 200 crores.

Gully Boy

Based on the life of rappers Divine and Naezy, Gully Boy is not the typical Bollywood story. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the emerged as the biggest winner of the month. Not only did it enter the 100-crore club in its very first week, but the film also found immense love overseas.
