House Arrest is a 2019 comedy film directed by Shashanka Ghosh and Samit Basu. The movie released on November 15, 2019. The film stars Ali Fazal as Karan, an individual whose self-imposed home confinement plays out like a comedy of errors. This Netflix original film is a situational comedy and it reportedly depicts a series of disasters, most of them unintended. Apart from Ali Fazal, House Arrest also stars Shriya Pilgaonkar in a pivotal role.

This year Netflix also released Drive, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, and Bard Of Blood starring Emraan Hashmi. While Bard of Blood was critically acclaimed, Drive couldn't quite manage to garner the same level of critical praise. And given that this year has not been successful for Netflix’s Indian movies/shows, House Arrest is a unique concept but the movie fails to deliver consistency, according to critics.
