It’s a wrap! Akshay Kumar and the team of ‘Housefull 4’ have completed the shooting of the comedy, slated for a Diwali release next year. The actor shared the update on Twitter on how it’s called a wrap, but the ‘fun never ends’ for the team, adding, "See you all in 2019!”.
Apart from Akshay, we also see Bobby Deol and Riteish Deshmukh along with Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde. The new entrants to the franchise, Rana Daggubati and Farhad Samji, after #MeToo movement led to the exits of Nana Patekar and director Sajid Khan, are also posing in the picture. Chunky Panday, who’s been a part of all the previous three installments of the franchise, producers Sajid and Warda Nadiadwala and director-choreographer Ahmed Khan are also a part of the picture.
The interesting part to note is that Akshay and Kriti Sanon are seen dressed casually while the other actors Riteish, Bobby, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja are seen dressed in traditional wear, and it seems that a wedding sequence or song could be the last scene they would’ve shot.
The happiness on the team members' faces is also a fresh change after the film got embroiled into a controversy following Tanushree Dutta's accusations of sexual harassment against Nana Patekar, and Sajid Khan was named by multiple women in their #MeToo stories. Akshay had stalled the shoot of the movie after the row and later Rana Daggubati and Farhad Samji stepped in as respective replacements. It's not yet clear if Nana's portions will be retained in 'Housefull 4.'
‘Housefull 4’ is based on the theme of reincarnation and has been termed as a ‘Baahubali’ spoof. The team has shot most of its scenes at a palace in Jaipur
