Sara Ali Khan who recently won an award for best debut actress, is riding high with the success of her latest film 'Simmba', also starring Ranveer Singh. The 23-year-old featured on a magazine cover and opened up about her father, Saif Ali Khan, mother Amrita Singh and Kareena Kapoor. She also spoke about 'bundle of happiness' Taimur.
'I have two happy homes', said Sara Ali Khan in an interview to the magazine when asked about her parents' split after 13 years of marriage. Sara said that as a father, Saif Ali Khan is just a phone call away and she is thankful to Kareena because she makes her father happy. She says that Saif is a lot like her because they both are readers, like history and are travellers. Saif is 25 years older than Sara, which isn't a lot according to her as she says that she is 'right in between the age gap of Taimur and her father'.
Talking about Taimur, she said that she doesn't get to see him very often but every time she does, he's a bundle of happiness. She said that when Taimur is happy, whole room is happy. And she concluded by saying that 'Taimur is my blood and the source of my father's joy.'
Sara also opened up about her mother and said that she is the only reason she is aware of who is who in her life. She called Amrita her 'reality check'.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sara is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali's next opposite Kartik Aaryan. And talking about her fame and being the priviledged child, Sara said: "I know that I’ve been given appreciation and recognition before I’ve done anything to deserve it. The only way I can repay that is to endeavour to do honest-enough work so that eventually people will think that I have deserved it. I did not ask for this much love or to be born in the family that I have.
