Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta recently shed light on the incident that happened on the sets of the film 'Horn OK Please' in 2008. The actress accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment and for aggressive behaviour. The actress had first made these allegations against the veteran actor in 2008, but her voice went unheard. However, during a recent interview, while talking about the #MeToo movement, she spoke about the incident and narrated it. This incident has gained much traction, with several Bollywood celebrities speaking in support of the actress, while some chose to keep mum. Tanushree, who has been keeping unwell ever since the incident stated that she will not be taking some time off to regain her strength.
In a statement, she says,
"My throat is swollen, voice down and I'm unwell because of the exhaustion of the last few days. For the last 8 years that I've been on the spiritual path regardless of which part of the world I am, I mostly prefer to live in solitude, silence, prayer and meditation and have gotten used to that peaceful lifestyle. I only come out and interact socially and even speak only when the need is for work or other social commitments"
From last few days I've had to go all out talking and interacting with press up to 16 hours a day for the sake of this movement and it has drained me out a bit. I'm resting to regain some strength while some other developments take place in the background. I will be back in a few days and join the fight again. This is not just a news story anymore my friends. This is a war that I have been called to partake in for not only my sake but for the sake for countless millions. It is my dharma; my duty as a human being."
Breaking his silence on the Tanushree Dutta's latest revelation on Thursday, September 27, Nana Patekar reportedly questioned about the allegations asking what Dutta meant by sexual harassment for there were around 200 people present on the set as they shot the song for the film. As per reports, Patekar said that he will see what can be done legally and said that it was wrong/inappropriate on his part to talk to the media about it, for everything according to him will be blown out of proportion. On Dutta's allegation of there being a different side to him, Patekar said that he will continue to do in his life what he has been doing and anyone can say anything they want. The 'Welcome' star is contemplating to take legal action against the former Miss India Universe.
