‘I can see and understand your angst’: Akshay Kumar has a message for fans after they start ‘negative trends’ over shift of ‘Sooryavanshi’ release date

Written By Joel Kurian | Mumbai | Updated On:

How important a release date is in the world of Bollywood got highlighted once again with what happened in the case of ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Inshallah.’ As the hype over the two biggies’ clash on Eid 2020 had started to heat up, the release date of the former was shifted, and was announced by the latter’s lead Salman Khan as he posed with Rohit Shetty. Akshay Kumar fans were not pleased and they ensured that ‘Shame on Rohit Shetty’ trended on Twitter.  Now, ‘Khiladi Kumar’ is not pleased with ‘what the people dearest’ to him have done with the ‘negative trends’. Stating that he could understand their angst, the actor urged his fans to not participate in such activities as he’s hoping to release ‘Sooryavanshi’ with a ‘positive outlook’, the same way he had signed up for the film.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Akshay wrote, “Since the past few days, I’ve noticed certain negative trends being done by people dearest to me... you guys. I can see and understand your angst, all I can do is request you all with folded hands not to start/participate in such trends. I took up Sooryavanshi with a very positive outlook, let’s continue making and releasing it in the same way.”

Salman had shared a snap with ‘younger brother’ Rohit two days ago to announce the new release date of ‘Sooryavanshi’, March 27, 2020.

The shooting of ‘Sooryavanshi’ has been going on at a breakneck speed, while ‘Inshallah’ is yet to go on floors.

The Rohit Shetty directorial also stars Katrina Kaif and is a part of the filmmaker’s cop ‘universe’ featuring Singham aka Ajay Devgn and Simmba aka Rohit Shetty.

‘Inshallah’ is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also features Alia Bhatt.

While ‘Inshallah’ has got ‘Sooryavanshi’ out of its way, we wonder how they’ll tackle SS Rajmouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’, which is also set for the same release date.
