I Couldn't Have Done Any Of It Without Sushant Singh Rajput: Sara Ali Khan On 'Kedarnath' Co-star

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan, who is all set to make her grand debut in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kedarnath', has opened up about her experience working with her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput. On Monday, November 12, the actress said that it would have been impossible for her to do the film without her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput's support.

While talking to ANI about her experience of working with Sushant, Sara said, "I am so glad that you asked me that. I have no idea how I have done this film. I have tried my best but I feel I couldn't have done any of it without Sushant. He has just been the most helpful person I have had."

The actress further revealed that the 'M.S. Dhoni- The Untold Story' has helped her learn Hindi. The actress who didn't have a very good hold on the language said that Sushant has helped her improve her Hindi. 

"There were days when I was lost and scared as it's the first time I am facing the camera but he has been hands on. Sushant also helped me improve my Hindi and whatever little I speak, he has taught me. He has helped me a lot," she said to ANI. 

'Kedarnath' narrates a heart-wrenching love story set against the backdrop of a catastrophic deluge that hit the Himalayan shrine in 2013. The film stars Sara and Sushant in the lead. Reportedly, in the film, Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen playing the role of a Muslim 'Pithoo', a tourist escort named Mansoor, whereas Sara Ali Khan will be seen portraying the role of a Hindu tourist Mukku.

'Kedarnath' is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor under the film production banners of RSVP and Guy in the Sky pictures. The film is surrounded by controversies as several political parties have objected against a kissing scene of the lead pair in the film, stating that it violates the beliefs of the Hindus and hurts their sentiments, promoting 'love jihad.' However, unaffected by the naysayers, the makers of the film finally unveiled the trailer of 'Kedarnath' earlier in the day. The two minute and fifty nine-second-long trailer give a sneak peek to an intense love story of a Hindu girl and the Muslim boy as they struggle to deal with communal clashes while also trying to survive the devastating floods of Uttarakhand. The film is all set to hit the theatres on December 7, 2018.
