She recently made an appearance at the inauguration of the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai and is well versed with the current times. Asha Ji recently saw the one film that everyone is raving about which is 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' and shared her thoughts on social media.

Taking to Twitter, the famous singer disclosed that she saw the Vicky Kaushal starrer recently and that she salutes the Indian Army and the government who had the courage to carry out such a daring operation. She also said that this bold move showcased their patriotism and that nobody should miss out on this amazing film. Here's what she wrote, "Saw the film URI last night. I salute our armed forces and the government who had the courage and patriotism to sanction this operation. Everyone should see this movie."

Asha Ji is not the only one who has been singing praises about the Aditya Dhar directorial. Many celebs from the film industry such as Rishi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt among others have taken to social media to express their delight at witnessing such a fine film. The most surprising feedback of all though came from acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, whose declaration that Uri is not a propaganda film effectively silenced any naysayers who felt so.

In terms of box office figures too the film is showing no signs of stopping as it is breaking record after record. It had already amassed more than Rs 90 crore in just the first nine days since its release, making it the first blockbuster of 2019. Also starring Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari, Mohit Raina among many others, 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' is an ode to the Indian armed forces' daring covert operation to destroy terrorist launchpads in Pok.
