Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' has found itself in the middle of controversies again. Reportedly, eight months ago, a few IIT students had filed a PIL against mathematician Anand Kumar, accusing him of falsely helping students bag a seat in prestigious engineering institutes. Questioning on how the film can celebrate his life while the case is still fresh, four students namely Avinash Baro, Bikash Das, Monjit Doley and Dhaniram Taw have are likely to file a lawsuit to stall the release of the film, as stated by a report.
It further states that the students are also surprised by the fact that CBFC has cleared the film even though they were made aware of the situation by him.
The PIL that was filed against Kumar last year asked him to reveal the names of the 26 students, he claimed, successfully got admission in IIT in 2018. Anand hasn't responded to it yet. The mathematician is yet to reveal the names in court, and the complainant feels that the film is sending out an 'incorrect' message.
'Super 30' is based on the life of Patna-based scholar Anand Kumar, who trains 30 deserving, economically-backward students for IIT-JEE entrance exams every year with a commendable success rate.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films, 'Super 30' also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh, and Nandish Sandhu. In other news, actor Vijay Varma will be seen in a cameo in "Super 30", starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead. The actor, who was last seen in "Gully Boy" as Moeen, has been an admirer of Hrithik's work.
