Vicky Kaushal won a million hearts with his portrayal of Kamli in the film 'Sanju', he has become the current favourite of the audience and filmmakers are looking forward to working with him. Vicky Kaushal recently shared his heartwarming story from his engineering days to his struggle to become an actor. The actor revealed a lot of anecdotes about his journey with Humans Of Bombay, an official page that shares heartfelt stories of regular and inspiring people.

Vicky Kaushal shared his struggle to get a break in Bollywood and how he broke the news of becoming an actor at home. The 'Sanju' star's father is an action director in Bollywood but Vicky Kaushal made his way into Bollywood on his own, without his father's help. He went from one audition to another until he bagged the film 'Masaan'. 

Talking about his first job offer, he revealed how he was really excited to give an interview for an IT job just for the fun of it. 

"I wanted to experience the ‘nervousness’–wearing a tie & showing your resumé. I already knew that I wasn’t going into that profession, even when I got a job offer."

Despite his father's wish for Vicky to pursue engineering, he stuck to his ground of wanting to act. 

The actor goes on to describe his father's struggles and how they valued every little thing they had, since they were never financially very well off. But Vicky never gave up and just kept going despite his fear of not being able to live up to his father's expectations, but when 'Masaan' released, things finally changed. 

Finally Masaan released in 2015. That’s when my dad saw my performance on a big screen. He was so proud- when he got a phone call from a friend - saying ‘Vicky ke papa’ He called me in 10 mins boasting ‘you know what happened? Someone called me Vicky’s dad today!’, the actor quipped.

Talking about his 'happiest moment' the actor spoke about how his mother got teary-eyed when Vicky purchased his first car and made his parents feel extremely proud of him.

The self-made Vicky Kaushal was last seen in 'Sanju' and will next be seen in 'Uri - The surgical strike' which is slated to release in 2019.
