Ahead of making her Cannes debut, Global icon Priyanka Chopra on Thursday, May 16, remembered some of the iconic global divas who had graced the red carpet at the prestigious Film Festival. Priyanka Chopra shared a number of pictures from the Cannes archives featuring global icons like Princess of Wales Diana, legendary actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly, and famous Italian-Hollywood actress Sofia Loren. Reminiscing their Red carpet moments the actress shared all the three monochrome pictures in her Instagram handle and captioned them saying, "CANNES"

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra who has been setting major fashion statements with her Met Gala looks over years, will be making her debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 this year. Beside her, several other Bollywood divas including Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be attending the event.

The 72nd Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday with India missing from the official selection for the first time this decade. The last time the world's largest movie-producing nation drew a blank in Cannes was in 2009.  The 2019 edition of the 12-day festival (May 14 to 25) will open with the screening of Jim Jarmusch's zombie satire 'The Dead Don't Die', one of 21 titles competing for the Palme d'Or.
