The wedding of Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal taking place at the Antilla in Mumbai on 12 December has seen the presence of celebrities from various fields. Former First Lady of the United States of America, Hillary Clinton, former President of India Pranab Mukherjee, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar were among those who graced the occasion.
However, as is the norm for most Ambani gatherings, the Bollywood stars were present in maximum numbers at the event. One of them was Alia Bhatt, who came out for the wedding in traditional style, donning an embroidered lehenga and completing the look with ‘bindi’ and jhumkas.’
The actress was among the few who was missing from the pre-wedding celebrations in Udaipur, where the who’s who of Bollywood had made an appearance. Her boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor was present for those pre-wedding events.
Gauri Khan also upped the glamour quotient in a red and golden saree.
The interior designer had made headlines with the performance with her husband Shah Rukh Khan at the Sangeet of Isha and Anand at the pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur. The superstar is known to be extremely close to the Ambani family and it seems unlikely he’ll miss such an important day for the family, and might make an appearance later on.
Isha and Anand have known each other for a long time courtesy the relation between their families, but it was earlier this year that the latter proposed to her in Mahabaleshwar. The couple got engaged at Lake Como, Italy in September this year and the event had seen the presence of numerous Bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, among others.
The pre-wedding festivities had included the Sandhya Maha Aarti in the worship of Lord Shri Nath Ji and the Sangeet where Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan were among the performers. It had also seen a performance from international pop sensation Beyonce which made huge headlines.
