Bollywood actor Boman Irani recently took up a new initiative as he launched his production house 'Irani Movietone'. The actor organised a grand launch event in Mumbai on Wednesday, January 23, which was attended by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.

Bollywood actor Boman Irani recently took up a new initiative as he launched his production house 'Irani Movietone' on Wednesday, January 23. Following the same on Thursday, the actor took to social media and shared an introductory video of 'Irani Movietone'. He captioned the Twitter post saying, "And the moment that we’ve been waiting for!!! With the love from one and all, introducing “Irani Movietone”. @iranimovietone #IraniMovietone"

A grand launch event was organised in Mumbai on Wednesday which was attended by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Alexander Dinelaris Jr. and Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. Boman Irani's wife Zenobia was also present at the event launch. The logo of the company was unveiled by Big B, following which, Irani and his wife honoured the veteran actor by presenting him a Pashmina shawl.

Speaking about Irani during media interactions, Amitabh Bachchan said that he admires the actor and wished him all the best. Asserting that Irani tends to upstage him whenever they share screen space, the 'Black' actor reportedly said, "I wish to work with Irani again soon. And please don't upstage me in our future films." (ANI quoted him as saying)

Several A-listers from Bollywood including Ronnie Screwvala, Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar, Kunal Vijaykar, Feroze Abbas Khan and Roshan Abbas also graced the occasion to support their fellow colleague.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Boman Irani will be next featured in Indra Kumar's 'Total Dhamaal' here he will be featured as a Don. The adventure comedy film is a reboot and the third instalment of the 'Dhamaal' film series. Beside Boman, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Madhuri Dixit, Esha Gupta and Anil Kapoor in the lead. It is scheduled to be released on February 22, 2019.
