The Sikh singer-actor has found popularity in Indian showbiz with his versatile roles in films like 'Udta Punjab', 'Phillauri' and 'Soorma'.
“An actor is more than his ethnicity and his religion. A filmmaker, a director has to be convinced and should be able to envision someone in a role, regardless of Sikh or not Sikh, if the filmmaker feels you suit the role, then that’s perfect,” Diljit had earlier told PTI.
On the work front, he will be seen in the film 'Good News' along with other popular celebrities in the likes of Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani.
Diljit also appeared on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee with Karan' and took away the Best Debut Male trophy along with the hamper for rapid fire. Infact, Diljit and Badshah's episode also won the 'Best Episode' award.
Apart from being an actor, he is also a singer who made his debut with the famous album 'Ishq Da Uda Adaa' and is known for many chartbusters such as 'Pagg Wala Munda', ' Ikk Kudi' and 'Desi Daru'.
