Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is undoubtedly one of the most bankable stars in the industry. The actress who started her journey in the Hindi film industry years back has eventually emerged as one of the most celebrated actresses. Recently, the diva got a wax statue at Madame Tussauds London. On Tuesday he flew all the way to London with husband Ranveer Singh to unveil her effigy.
She went live on her Instagram handle to make her fans witness the special event. Deepika's wax statue is no less stunning than her. It recreated her 2016 IIFA Awards look donning a champagne-colored cape lehenga designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She can be seen also donning a thin diamond and emerald necklace.
While the 'Om Shanti Om' actress was absolutely spellbound to see her wax-figurine, Ranveer can be heard describing it as 'gorgeous'. As per media reports, the celebrity pair were accompanied by their parents for the celebration.
Here are some pictures from the event:
"Can I take her home?" asked Ranveer Singh as he unveiled wife Deepika's wax statue in London, to which Deepika replied saying, "I think when you here shooting for 83 and you miss me too much you can come here."
Previously several Bollywood's big-wigs like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Katrina Kaif have been amongst the others whose wax figures were unveiled with much aplomb. Following Deepika and Ranveer's wedding last year, Madame Tussauds announced that soon there will be a wax figure of the duo in one of their outlets.
