The spotlight has been focused on Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone since they headed to Italy for their marriage, and that has been intact after the couple landed back in India. After experiencing the stunning pictures from the ceremonies that took place in the European country's Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como that the couple shared on 20 November, ‘Deepveer’ fans would’ve been eager for a proper media coverage of their favourite couple. And that got fulfilled with the couple hosting a reception for their near and dear ones in Bengaluru on 21 November.
The pair looked absolutely stunning in their traditional avatars with Deepika looking graceful in a golden saree gifted by her mother Ujjala Padukone while Ranveer looked dapper in a stylish embroidered black and golden sherwani. The newlyweds were gracious in the way they greeted the paparazzi, smiling with all their might and waving at them.
Now we have also got our hands on some of the inside moments from the reception. 'Deepveer' might be celebrities but the visuals of the newly married couple actually didn’t look any different from a common couple at a wedding with the customary norms we are familiar with. The couple kept their smiling selves in full flow while shaking hands with the guests who came to congratulate them for the new step in their life. We also got a glimpse of their fathers, Prakash Padukone and Jagjit Singh Bhavani, who both donned all-black outfits. Though not entire clear, it looks like Deepika’s sister Anisha and Ranveer’s mother Anju Bhavnani are seen in similar-hued traditional attires while Ranveer Singh’s sister Ritika raised the glamour quotient in a blue ethnic dress with floral work. Deepika’s mother looked stunning in a red and golden saree.
Dietician Pooja Makhija was among the guests and her picture with the Padukone ladies was arguably the best of the lot. She also shared more pictures including one of her husband with Prakash Padukone and of the couple holding each other's hands tightly on the stage.
Deepika and Ranveer said 'I do' in Italy on 14 and 15 November according to Konkani and Sindhi customs. The couple will reportedly host two more receptions in Mumbai within the next fortnight.
