'Here's to being a super-woman': Bhumi Pednekar wishes Women's Day through through her movie characters

Bhumi Pednekar, who is just 5 films old in Bollywood industry, has made a mark for herself. The journey that began from 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', she has inspired a lot of young women across with her different roles.

On the ocassion of International Women's Day, Bhumi took to her Instagram account to share a heartwarming post, a collage of all her movie characters. She wrote: "Sandhya, Jaya, Sugandha, Sudha & Indumati you all have truly inspired, enabled and empowered me to celebrate womanhood in all its glory! I am blessed to have been able to live your life and journey 🌹

The collage gives out different meanings of what a woman means. It says, 'My body, my rules'; ''Does not settle'; 'Fight the world for love'; 'Society didn't make her an equal, But her Integrity made her bigger.'; 'Courage was her biggest truth'.

The netizens found Bhumi's post inspiring and loved the above captions on her post.

On the work front, Bhumi was last seen in ‘Sonchiriya’ alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee which was directed by ‘Udta Punjab’ fame Abhishek Chaubey. The movie hit the theatres on 1 March but unfortunately couldn't impress the audience.

Bhumi will be seen in three projects, as per the reports. One, 'Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare', an upcoming Indian comedy satire alongside Konkana Sen Sharma. Directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, the movie is produces by Ekta Kapoor. Two, 'Saand Ki Aankh', that also stars Taapsee Pannu and is being directed by Tushar Hiranandani. And three, 'Pati Patni Aur Woh', also starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Pandey. The film is to be directed by Mudassar Aziz.
