The way Akshay has been spearheading the promotional campaign for '2.0' is awe-inspiring. Right from the beginning, his dedication level for the project needs to be applauded. When the trailer launch of the sci-fi film took place in Chennai, the actor flew in from Mumbai just for that event. He even spoke a few words in Tamil, which earned him massive cheers from the crowd. But when it came to promoting the film in Mumbai, the press conference saw only him and Shankar, with Rajinikanth's absence looking glaring.

It begs the question that why is the Superstar not so keen in pushing the film which is majorly mounted on his shoulders. It is well known that he never uses social media to sell his films but the fact that he didn't turn up for a few promotional events raises eyebrows. Now, finally, the veteran actor has joined the filmmaker and Akshay to meet the fans and media in Hyderabad. Rajini's sporadic presence at these events and the Bollywood star going above and beyond for the film shows a big disparity. This even leaves one to wonder if '2.0' is indeed more of an Akshay Kumar show, as pointed out by Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, it seems that the makers have pushed the South superstar to attend these events as they want maximum publicity on the film that has been made on a massive budget of over Rs 500 crore.

Of course, the veteran actor's health could have also been a good reason for his absence in a few promotional events, but the fact still remains that it is Akshay who is spearheading the cheering campaign for '2.0'. Even now, the actor shared a selfie of his character from the film after he sat for makeup for 3.5 hours.
