Actress Radhika Madan is making headlines nationally and Internationally, even before her debut film hit the screens in India. While in India her fans are waiting for 'Pataakha' to release, the actress is making heads turn internationally with her appearance at the 43rd Toronto Film Festival. Suited in a custom-made tuxedo by Indian designer Kaumesh, Radhika represented every bit of class and elegance at her first appearance at the International film festival.

Radhika was at the fest to attend the premiere of her film 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota' that also marks the debut of Abhimanyu Dasani, son of 'Maine Pyar Kiya' actress Bhagyashree. The film that won the People's Choice Midnight Madness Award was the country's first ever entry for the "Midnight Madness" segment at the festival that concluded on Sunday in the Canadian city. 

The 23-year-old actress who shot to fame with her role in television series 'Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi' felt too overwhelmed for her film not just winning the award but it also received a standing ovation at the festival.

Radhika was quoted saying, "that it feels so surreal that the movie received an overwhelming response and the standing ovation at the festival that she couldn't have asked for more."

High on all the success coming her way, Radhika is completely in a celebratory mode. The actress mentioned that she is going to celebrate the award with some wine and cheese once she is back in India. The Delhi born actress is all inspired to work even harder after her film won the top award at the prestigious International film festival and that this Vasan Bala directorial 'Mara Ko Dard Nahi Hota' helped her learn the discipline of life and discipline in martial arts.

Radhika, on the other hand, is now gearing up for the release of her film 'Pataakha'. Directed by filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, the film is a comedy-drama set in the rural backdrop. A story about two warring sisters, 'Pataakha' is reportedly based on Charan Singh Pathik's short story titled 'Do Behnein'. 'Pataakha' also featuring Sanya Malhotra,Sunil Grover, Saanand Verma and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles is all set to release on 28 September.
