Aditya Chopra's 2008 venture 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' celebrates 10 years  of its release on Wednesday, December 12. On the occasion of the same, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma reminisces her journey through the making of the film. The actress who marked her debut in the industry with the film opposite Shah Rukh Khan says that the opportunity changed her life.

She said she has a special place in her heart for the film as she got to work with people who had faith in her. She also mentioned how even today she is close to producer Aditya Chopra and her co-star Shah Rukh Khan. 

In an interview with PTI, the actress said, "Adi (Aditya Chopra, director) used to say that 'we have taken you because you can stand on your own against anyone'. Yashji (Yash Chopra) had also said the same. For a young person like me to hear that was a huge confidence booster,"

"I got to work with people who were very nice and generous to me. I share a beautiful equation with all of them even now. I am blessed to be working on this film. It changed my life. It is something that is going to be the most special thing I have done," she added.

The actress who played a vivacious character- Tani in the film was 20 when she made her debut. She was widely lauded for her performance in the film and her confidence on screen. However, the actress revealed that she had to put a lot of hard work to make things work and in fact, she still takes notes while reading a script to understand her character.

Talking to PTI, the actress said,  "I valued the art I was in, I valued acting a lot, I paid attention and worked towards it. I would read the same script almost every day, finding something new in it to do. They understood the hard work I was putting into the film. And the only reason I was so confident when I did the film is that I was so prepared. Confidence comes because you work so hard," she said.

"It is different for different scenes. Like, what changes are happening emotionally with my character, what are the reasons of my existence, etc." she further added. 

'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' narrates the story of a simple man Surinder, who falls for a vivacious Tani and gets married to her. In order to impress her, he undergoes a complete makeover and becomes Raj. The romantic comedy was written and directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films.
