'It seems like a long journey': Anupam Kher gets nostalgic as he celebrates 35 years of his debut film 'Saaransh'

Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is celebrating 35 years of the release of his first film 'Saaransh' on Saturday, May 25. To mark the occasion, the actor took to Twitter and shared a couple of throwback pictures on Twitter reminiscing his big screen debut.

Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is celebrating 35 years of the release of his first film 'Saaransh' on Saturday, May 25. To mark the occasion, the actor took to Twitter and shared a couple of throwback pictures on Twitter reminiscing his big screen debut.

In the post, the actor revealed that he was 28 at that time and played the role of 65 years old BVPradhan in the 1984 venture. Taking a stroll down the memory lane the actor wrote, "My 1st film #Saaransh was released on the 25th Of May, 1984. It has been 35 years since then. I was 28 & I played a 65yr old #BVPradhan. It seems like a long journey."

However, the actor seems to be super-energized for a long way ahead. Saying that it is just the beginning, the actor further stated, "But to me, it is just the beginning. Thank you. Keep blessing me. I've got a long way to go. #35YearsOfAnupamKher"

Anupam Kher has become a man of international presence over the years. Not only is he an established actor in the country, but now he has worked in Hollywood movies and television shows, adding more feathers to his cap. The veteran actor recently appeared in political biopic 'The Accidental Prime Minister', based on the life of former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh and was praised widely for acing up the mannerisms of Singh giving a candid feel to his character. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kher is currently working in the American drama series 'New Amsterdam'. He is also all set to release his upcoming crime-thriller film 'One Day' which also stars Esha Gupta and Kumud Mishra in the lead. Directed by Ashok Nanda, the film is a thriller and is produced by Ketan Patel and Swati Singh. The movie is slated to hit the big screens on June 14, this year.
