A massive news for Bollywood broke on Tuesday as Alia Bhatt announced her collaboration with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's new film 'Inshallah', opposite Salman Khan.
The 'Bharat' actor took to his Twitter handle and wrote: "It’s been 20 years but I am glad Sanjay and I are finally back in his next film, Inshallah. Looking forward to work with Alia and inshallah we will all be blessed on this journey.

The film will be a co-production between Salman Khan Films and Bhansali Productions, which also reunited the actor and director after their hit film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', starring Aishwarya Rai.
In an interview in 2015, Sanjay Leela Bhansali broke his silence on his friendship with Salman Khan. He said: "Salman is a very dear friend of mine. Never have I said a word wrong against him nor will I ever say anything. What he's done for me is incredible. He is a brilliant mind in his own way and he's always stood by me. He has always been very good to me."
The speculations were that Salman was upset because SLB made 'Devdas' with Shah Rukh Khan and not him. To which, the director clarified: "Maybe I could not make a film with him. If I felt or I am wanting to make a certain kind of cinema and I feel he is not right for the film, I can't cast him. I understand he will be upset for that because he expects that out of me. He expects a certain kind of love and loyalty. But sometimes, it's important to do the film that you want to. However ruthless I may sound, but as a filmmaker, I live that film I'm making. I am not disregarding him as an actor. Today, it doesn't matter whether I am making a film with him or not because he is cult. He stands there and the film does 300 crores."
In 2015, in the same interview, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that he is dying to do a film with Salman Khan but the onus is on him and it all depends on his availability.
Meanwhile, this will be the first time Alia Bhatt will be romancing Salman Khan. Making the announcement, she wrote, "I was 9 when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait."
"Dream with your eyes wide open they say & I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together & I can't wait to join them on this beautiful journey called “Inshallah” #Inshallah #SLB @BeingSalmanKhan @bhansali_produc @SKFilmsOfficial @prerna982" she stated further.
