Janhvi Kapoor Holds Book Upside-down At Its Launch, Internet Argues

Janhvi Kapoor made a goof-up at an event as she held the book she was supposed to launch, upside down. And while many criticized her, few supported her.

Janhvi Kapoor was in New Delhi for the launch of the Hindi edition of Harinder Sikka's much-anticipated book, 'Calling Sehmat'. For the event, Janhvi Kapoor picked out a floral print saree and looked absolutely splendid! However, the 22-year-old made serious goof-up at the event as she held the book she was supposed to launch, upside down. The internet in no time noticed the blunder and started criticizing the actor. While many chose to troll her, few thought that the entire act was 'innocent', there were other fans who praised and appreciated her beauty, just steering clear of the blunder.

For the uninitiated, the English edition of 'Calling Sehmat' is a best-seller and revolves around the life of a Kashmiri woman who ties the knot with a Pakistani man who works as a spy for India amid dangerous circumstances. Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi' featuring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal was based on the book.

Janhvi Kapoor will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in a horror-comedy series in 'Rooh-Afza'. As per reports, the latter was quite impressed by the professionalism and hard work of the new-comer.

The Hardik Mehta-directed film marks maiden collaboration between Rajkummar and Janhvi. Talking about his experience of working with the young actor, Rajkummar said in a statement, "Janhvi is phenomenal. She is such a sincere and hardworking actor. I think what we have seen her in 'Dhadak' is just a hint of her talent, she is way more talented than that." Co-produced by Dinesh Vijan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film revolves around a singing ghost who puts grooms to sleep so it can possess their brides. Also starring Varun Sharma of "Fukrey" fame, "Rooh-Afza" is scheduled to be released on March 2020.

Janhvi Kapoor is also currently busy shooting for Gunjan Saxena biopic in Georgia and has also bagged a role in 'Dostana 2' opposite Kartik Aaryan.
