Jawaani Jaaneman is an upcoming dramedy that will feature Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, and debutant Aalia Furniturewalla in pivotal roles. The film is a coming-of-age story revolving around a father-daughter relationship. Not much has been revealed about the film's plot since it is in the post-production phase. The co-producer of the film, Jackky Bhagnani, has stated that the audience can expect a family film with unexpected twists.

Tabu speaks on 'Jawaani Jaaneman'

Tabu will be seen playing a light-hearted role in Jawaani Jaaneman. In an interview with a news agency, the actor shared that she has been playing dark roles lately, and the character she plays in Jawaani Jaaneman is absolutely refreshing. She wanted to do this at the first go soon as she read the script. Tabu will be seen together with Saif Ali Khan on screen after a long time. The two have previously worked together in films like Tu Chor Main Sipahi and Hum Saath Saath Hain. Talking about collaborating with Saif after years, the actor said that she expected the whole collaboration will be great, as it is with someone she has known for almost 30 years. Tabu also shared a post on Instagram revealing her first look for Jawaani Jaaneman.

Principal photography for Jawaani Jaaneman began back in June in London. The film is set in the backdrop of the United Kingdom. The shoots wrapped on August 24, 2019 and the film currently stands in the editing phase. It is being helmed by Nitin Kakkar who previously directed films like Mitron and Filmistaan. Jawaani Jaaneman is a joint venture between Black Knight Films, Northern Lights Films, and Pooja Entertainment. It is expected to release on November 29, 2019.
