Johnny Walker is not his birth name
The name Johnny Walker was not his birth name. After his birth, he was named Badruddin Jamaluddin Kazi. He was later baptised later with the name Johnny Walker after he started working in Bollywood. His screen name was taken from Johnny Walker whiskey. This was due to the drunkard roles he often played.

He was a bus conductor
Johnny Walker used to work as a bus conductor with BEST bus service. He worked for several years until he was spotted by Balraj Sahni. Johnny would often be seen working in Dadar bus depot. He would entertain his passengers with tricks that would entertain them and make them laugh.
He never drank alcohol in his real life
Johnny Walker played a hardcore drunkard in films. But he never had a single drop of alcohol in his entire life. He was a devout Muslim and a strict teetotaller. His drunken image in films was a contrast to his real-life persona, which was that of a sober and humble soul.

He strove to raise his kids with good education
Johnny met his wife, Noorjahan on the sets of a film in 1955 and went on to get married even after the oppositions of the family. One of Johnny’s three sons entered Bollywood and is a well-known face. As Johnny was forced to leave his education mid-way, he made sure that he gave higher education to each of his kids.
