Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Judgementall Hai Kya's Day 1 box-office collection is out, here's how it did

Actors Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao's much awaited film 'Judgementall Hai Kya', has put an impressive total of Rs. 5.40 crore on day one at the box-office. This dark comedy thriller, has resonated with its core audience and has managed to stir up the new age millenial crowd in a big way.

In spite of a heavy downpour in Mumbai, audience flocked to catch this new age thriller which has received fantastic reviews across the board — from both critics and audience. Even though it is a decent start and the movie also had a clash with Kriti Sanon-Diljit Dosanjh starrer 'Arjun Patiala', with positive reviews, Ekta Kapoor production 'Judgementall Hai Kya' is expected to perform well on the weekend.

Republic World reviewed the film and gave it a 4 star rating. The film revolves around Bobby (played by Kangana Ranaut) who has witnessed a horrific childhood is 20 years later diagnosed with acute psychosis. Bobby Batliwala Agarwal, a dubbing artist is sent to an asylum after she attacks a co-worker (who tries to get cozy with her). What is Bobby's main problem? She easily gets obsessed with the characters she is dubbing for and hears different voices in her head once she starts playing and living the character she dubs for.

Bobby then meets her new tenants Keshav (played by Rajkummar Rao) and Rima (played by Amyra Dastur) — a young couple who leaves Bobby curious and obsessed with their oh-so-perfect life. Cut to, a murder that leads to a quirky, hilarious, dark and a mad ride that is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat till the end.

The film marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu filmmaker Prakash Kovelamudi. The movie is written by Kovelamudi's wife Kanika Dhillon. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film also features Amyra Dastur, Jimmy Shergill, Satish Kaushik, Amrita Puri in pivotal roles
