Alia too wrote: "The ethereal and enigmatic enchantress. Here’s Bahaar Begum!"

Talking about the poster, looks like Madhuri's character is on the same lines of Chandramukhi from 'Devdas; as a dancing figure is seen on the poster behind. And the Twitterati felt the same, with many commenting, 'Maar Daala' (a popular song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Devdas').

Here's what the netizens say -

For those unaware, Karan Johar had earlier signed late actress Sridevi for Madhuri's role but her untimely death on February 24, 2018, left the country in shock. And after sometime, Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram and posted a picture of Madhuri Dixit with her mother and wrote, “Abhishek Varman’s next film was very close to mom’s heart ...Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuriji for now being a part of this beautiful film.”

Talking about  'Kalank', Madhuri reportedly said that when she was on the sets, she looked at it as just another role but when Karan asked her to take up the role, she was extremely emotional. She said she hopes that she can make her proud. Talking about her role, she asserted that when people watch the movie, they will realize how different it is from her other films like Devdas because the role is poles apart from that.

On Thursday, the makers shared the first look posters of #MenOfKalank and today, on International Women's Day, the #WomenOfKalank were introduced on social media.
