A wide red canvas and filling different colors of love are — Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt. The makers of the film 'Kalank' released the trailer on Wednesday and it is nothing less than a beautiful painting.
Abhishek Varman's magnum opus, backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, will leave you wanting for more as Noor and Zafar walk you through their love-story.
The trailer begins with Alia Bhatt's dialogue saying that it all began with one wrong decision taken in anger. But the 2 minutes trailer ends with a train scene where you could see Varun Dhawan running towards Alia Bhatt but on the other side, Aditya Roy Kapur holds her hand. Yes, it does remind you of 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge' but with a twist. A wedding (between Alia and Aditya's character) that called for only 'respect' turns into 'love' eventually. Set in 1945, in Pre-Independence India, Kalank is a tale of eternal love. Sonakshi Sinha too plays Aditya Roy Kapur's wife.

A few reports suggest that Karan Johar's film is inspired by 'What the Body Remembers', by Shauna Singh Baldwin. Some fans have tweeted about the same on social media.
