Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel (spokesperson of the actress) has always been active on Twitter. She has been updating her fans about the ongoing war going on between 'Judgementall Hai Kya' actress and a section of media. In one of the tweets on July 15, Rangoli had written: 'she has taken up this cause, like she says I don’t choose my battles they choose me #aapaman ko samiksha nahin kehte #journalismlessons'

On being asked to clarify what that meant, Kangana in an exclusive interaction with Republic Bharat, said: "She is my sister, she will write in my support. Thank god the fans are not listening to my mother. According to her, people who are not interested in watching Kangana, should drink poison (laughs). My mother is 4 steps ahead than my sister. My family will always support me. It's their emotions.

Kangana further said: "The background that I have come, we have never discussed politics or women rights. I also didn't know the meaning of nepotism earlier. Aisa nai hai ki mere dimaag mein pehle se ye plan tha. Circumstances were such during my struggle that I became a victim of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, nepotism — so that's how these issues came out. Main dabaav mein nai reh sakti. But later I realised, these are not my personal issues, ye to aur bhi logo ke saath ho raha hai. That's how it became societal issues."

On being asked what changes does she want to bring in the 'guidelines of journalism', Kangana explained that: "Journalism also comes with a responsibility and respect. We never thought in earlier days that press can write false stories or lies. One needs to understand that country relies on their information. And hence, a sense of responsibilty needs to come in. Why are they not understanding their own power? They are being pessimistic, kya farak padta hai attitude... and seeing this behaviour, makes me upset. Why are they running on movie mafia's rules and becoming a sell-out?"

"You want to make jokes, want to show hatred towards the country then kindly make your own separate account and vent it out there. Why are you associating yourself to a responsible body/platform like PTI and attacking, as it comes with a power? Create a separate account and do whatever you want. This makes it easy for us to recognise and realise ki aap hamare liye ek bhatke hue navyuvak hain. Only this small guideline needs to be followed by the coming generation. It will be nice. Say for example, if I have some rubbish in my head to talk and if I talk as Kangana Ranaut in media... don't you think the film industry as a whole badnaam hogi? Wo hi cheez main ek troll account banakar kar sakti hoon (I don't do that personally though). So, journalists need to do that if they really have anger to express," concluded Kangana with this suggestion for journalists.
