Kangana Ranaut-Journalist Ugly Spat: Scribe fraternity seeks apology, failing to do so may result in boycott as per reports

According to the reports, media industry wants Ekta Kapoor and team to apologise, may ban Kangana Ranaut.

Kangana Ranaut got into a heated argument with a journalist at Judgementall Hai Kya song launch. Ranaut accused the PTI reporter of running a smear campaign against her and her film 'Manikarnika'.

Kangana fired the journalist at the event and said: "Tum toh humare dushman ban gaye ho yaar....badi gandi batein likhte ho. Tum kitna ganda sochte ho! Tum itni gandi soch rakhte ho. Jingoistic bolte ho. Itni gandi soch laate kahan se ho? You are bashing my film Manikarnika. Have I made a mistake by making a film? You are calling me a jingoistic person for making a film on nationalism."

The journalist defended himself and told her that she was 'intimidating' him. "This is not the right way to intimidate a journalist just because you are at such a powerful position," he said. To this Kangana said she was only being 'candid'.

Now, according to the reports, the media fraternity has decided to come together and stand against Kangana Ranaut. The reports suggest that some senior journalists will be meeting the producer of the film seeking Kangana Ranaut's apology for her 'bullying conduct'.

The fraternity wants Ekta Kapoor 'to take a stand against Kangana's behaviour' and demand the actress to give out a public apology. If Kangana is fails to do so, the media will boycott the movie promotions of 'Judgementall Hai Kya', suggests reports.

"Judgementall Hai Kya" is scheduled to be released on July 26. Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, the thriller also features Rajkummar Rao.
