On various occasions, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has stated that the other stars usually always turn their back against her, and never support her work openly. The 31-year-old in a recent interview revealed that many Bollywood stars would call her up and ask her to promote their films, but would not do the same for her.
In an interview to a leading news publication, Ranaut claimed that the film fraternity often ignores her, especially during the launch of her films.
Speaking about it further, she stated in 2014, when her film 'Queen' released, she did not think that all accolades for her, and that she felt 'absolutely ignored'. Remembering another occasion as such, she said that after 'Tanu Weds Manu' too, she would have so many trials, but none of the stars would attend her screening.
She lashed out at Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt claiming that she did not come to her support during her film's release, but then was quick enough to send her 'Raazi's' trailer, saying 'please watch it'.
She also took a dig at Aamir Khan saying that she went all the way to Ambani's house for a screening of 'Dangal' and 'Secret Superstar', but none of them come for her film's trials.
On the work front, Kangana was last seen in 'Manikarnika'.
The film was one of the most anticipated films of 2019, and the period drama is based on the life and struggles of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Apart from Kangana Ranaut the film also stars Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Demzongpa, Jisshu Sengupta and Ankita Lokhande, in pivotal roles. The film that released on January 25, has been successful at the Box Office.
