Kangana Ranaut Looks Fierce As Rani Laxmibai In The Poster Of 'Manikarnika-The Queen Of Jhansi'

The makers of 'Manikarnika'  have released the first poster of the film and actress Kangana Ranaut sure seems to be winning this battle. In the poster for 'Manikarnika -The Queen of Jhansi', Kangana is seen on the horseback dressed as a warrior with her child tied to her back. The actress plays the titular role in the film. Kangana looks fierce in the and is totally into her character. This is the first time the actress is playing a historical character. 

 

Reportedly, the makers of the film decided to unveil the first look of the film on August 15 as Rani Laxmibai had a very crucial role to play in 1857 Indian freedom war. The makers are also considering to release the teaser of the film on October 2, which will mark the 150th birth anniversary of  Mahatma Gandhi and the trailer of the film is scheduled to release on November 19 on Rani Laxmibai's birth anniversary. 

The film also stars Sonu Sood who plays Sadashiv,  Jisshu as Gangadhar Rao, Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope,  Suresh Oberoi as Peshwa Bajirao II, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi as Puran Singh and Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai. The film is being helmed by Krish who will also be directing actor NTR's biopic. The screenplay of the film is penned by KV Vijayendra Prasad of 'Baahuali' fame and is produced by ZEE studios, Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti. 

The film is slated to release on Republic Day 2019. The film will, therefore, clash with Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30'. And owing to the tension between the two stars, it will be interesting to see which film will shine at the box-office. 

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut who was last seen in 'Simran' has her hands full with 'Manikarnika' and 'Mental Hai Kya' opposite Rajkummar Rao. The two actors will be seen together after the hit film 'Queen'.
