Kapil Sharma Sends Legal Notice Of Rs. 100 Crore to Vicky Lalwani and SpotBoye

The controversy struck Indian comedian Kapil Sharma recently made the headlines when his latest show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma went off the air and his Twitter war Vicky Lalwani and Sunil Grover.

The controversy struck Indian comedian Kapil Sharma recently made the headlines when his latest show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma went off the air and his Twitter war Vicky Lalwani and Sunil Grover. The comedian-turned-actor who posted a barrage of abusive tweets on his Twitter handle accused the Editor of Spotboye.com for tarnishing his reputation. Kapil Sharma sent a legal notice of Rs. 100 crore to Vicky Lalwani & SpotBoye, scribe for defamation. According to the complaint, the money is to be deposited in the National Defense Fund.

In his complaint, he alleged that Lalwani started a false and malicious propaganda to defame him on digital media. Few excerpts from the notice state, 

"My Client states that these purported articles are a figment of your wile imagination and plagued by intent to bring unrest to my Client."

Claiming that Kapil Sharma's reputation suffered "grave and irrespirable damage", the notice read,

"My Client states that the defamatory articles published by you were read by the public at large, and on account of the same, my Client has suffered grave and irreparable damage and injury on his reputation, goodwill, dignity and image which he has hard-won and painstakingly created in the Entertainment Industry and had to undergo enormous mental agony, anxiety and anguish in explaining the true and correct facts to his well-wishers, family members, friends, business associates as well as the persons from his social and business circle and the general public all over India and other well-wishers around the world"

Comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma has been the center of controversies. Whether it is about ill-treating his co-stars from 'Comedy Nights With Kapil', to his brawl with co-star and friend Sunil Grover, the comedian has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The comedian who started his career on television with 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' which was hosted by Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shekhar Suman has been accused of abusing and inappropriate behaviour towards journalist Vickey Lalwani. That's not it, the comedian has also accused Lalwani's daughter of wanting to sleep with him. Kapil has reportedly gone on to say that all of the claims made by Lalwani are false and that he is doing this because he has been instigated by his former managers Neeti Simones and sister Preeti Simones. Besides television shows, Kapil Sharma has worked in Bollywood films like ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ and ‘Firangi’.
