Gone are the days of enimity between Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma. The two directors' Twitter conversation have left everyone surprised.
A few days back, Karan Johar unveiled a new poster of his upcoming film. After impressing the fans with his stellar performance in the film 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', Vicky Kaushal will feature in a horror film in their upcoming film 'Bhoot: Part One. -The Haunted Ship'
The makers of the film released the first spine-chilling look poster of the film where the 'Manmarziyan' actor is looking extremely spooky. The 31-year-old is seen peeping out of a broken window of a ship with a face full of bruises. Covering the face of the actor was a fearsome hand with long nails which will leave you in terror.
Ram Gopal Varma was the first one to comment on Karan Johar's tweet. He wrote: "Hey Karan Johar the poster is looking WOW! Can't wait to see the intense Vicky Kaushal in this genre. [sic]"
To which, Karan Johar replied: "Thanks for your generosity Ramu....Means a lot to all of us at @DharmaMovies #Bhoot" [sic]
Why did he thank him? For those unaware, Ram Gopal Varma's 2003 horror film was also titled 'Bhoot'. The film featured Urmila Matondkar and Ajay Devgn.
In an interview, Karan said, "I made an unreasonable request to Ramu, asking him for his franchise title BHOOT and he graciously and magnanimously agreed to give it to us without even blinking an eyelid. All of us at Dharma are blown away by his generosity and are eternally grateful to him. We aspire to make sure the title is in the right hands of horror."

To rewind your memories on Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma's cold war, In 2010, RGV said that 'Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna' is the scariest movie he has seen. To which, KJo replied: "Early morning dreams come true? I dreamt I was watching Phoonk 2 [a sequel to Varma's 2008 horror movie Phoonk] and holding RGV's hand in fear. Is this possible?" And Ramu replied: "Well, I don't know about Phoonk 2, but I'm scared of the Karan Johar hand holding part."
Later in 2016, RGV praised Karan Johar for 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and the war was over between them.
Coming back to Karan Johar's 'Bhoot', the horrifying roller coaster also stars Bhumi Pednekar who will be seen for the first time sharing screen space with Vicky. The film marks the directorial debut of Bhanu Pratap Singh.
The film, which is slated to hit the theatres on November 15 this year, is produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan.
