Karan Johar, after Tusshar Kapoor, set an example by becoming one of the first Bollywood male celebrities to turn a single father last year. The multi-talented celebrity's love for his parents is well-known and he named his twins after them, Yash and Roohi. Not much was known or speculated before KJo announced the news of becoming a father via surrogacy in March 2017. And surprisingly, even all those he's close to, like his mother Hiroo Johar, Shah Rukh Khan or his 'students'  Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra were clueless about the new step in his life.

The revelation was apparently made when the actress made an appearance for the first episode of his chat show 'Koffee with Karan' where she arrived with Alia. KJo is reported to have said that he revealed the news to his 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' actress accidentally. However, she understood the filmmaker's feelings and promised to keep it a secret, claimed the report.
