Kareena Kapoor doesn't believe in Kiara Advani's role in Kabir Singh

Kareena Kapoor, who has three official projects coming up including 'Good Newws' opposite Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar's 'Takht' co-starring Ranveer Singh and Irrfan Khan's 'English Medium', recently spoke to a leading magazine about Shahid Kapoor's super-hit film Kabir Singh. Kareena confessed that she hasn't seen the film yet but that doesn't affect anything according to her because the movie has already crossed Rs. 300 crores worldwide. She said, "it’s a double-edged sword. Because there are people who are actually going to watch it and have found something that they love. Otherwise, it is not possible for it to have done so well."

She further said that she doesn't believe in a character like Preeti (played by Kiara Advani) because she is not that person in reality. She said: "But I’m happy that people are talking about it and if you ask me, I don’t personally believe in a character like that because that’s not me as a person. But at the end of the day, it’s a film and it has worked. But I’m happy that people are talking about things and they want their voice to be heard. But they clearly are outnumbered by the people who have loved the film. That’s the reality which is sad," as quoted by Filmfare magazine.

Kareena Kapoor just wrapped up judging the dance show Dance India Dance which was attended by Priyanka Chopra as part of her upcoming film promotion. Meanwhile, the fans will get to watch Kareena back on the big screen as she gears up for her film Good Newwz which comes out on 27 December this year. Good Newwz is a rom-com which also stars Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.

Kabir Singh was the remake of the Telugu movie Arjun Reddy. The movie Kabir Singh also stars Kiara Advani, who was seen playing the character of Kabir Singh’s partner, Priti. Kabir Singh was directed by Sandeep Vanga and was produced under the banner of T-series and Cine1 studious. The film released on June 21, 2019. The plot of the movie revolves around a short-tempered surgeon who indulges himself in alcohol and drug abuse. The film did exceptionally well in the entertainment industry; the box-office statistics speak volumes for the movie.
