Kargil Vijay Diwas: Sonakshi Sinha 'proud to be working on film based on bravery of our soldiers'

Sonakshi Sinha paid tribute to the pride and valor of the martyred Jawans on 'Kargil Vijay Diwas'. Sonakshi shared a picture of herself posing with Jawans during shoot of 'Bhuj The Pride Of India'.

Actor Sonakshi Sinha took to Instagram to pay tribute to the pride and valor of the martyred Jawans on the solemn event of the 'Kargil Vijay Diwas'.

Commemorating the completion of 20 years of 'Kargil Vijay Diwas', Sonakshi shared a picture on Instagram of herself posing with the Jawans during the shoot of her upcoming film 'Bhuj The Pride Of India' last year in Bhuj.

Recounting her experiences, the 32-year-old actor said that she feels proud of having the opportunity to work on the film which tells the story of the pride, valor, and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers. Her Instagram post read,

India is celebrating the 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas on Friday, remembering the sacrifices made by the Indian Army during the 1999 Kargil War to push away Pakistan's infiltration from Indian territory. In the lead up to the victory celebrations  which are based on the theme 'Remember, Rejoice and Renew', there are various tributes dedicated to the martyrs by the Indian Army,

The Victory Flame, commemorating 20 years of successful termination of Operation Vijay, was ignited by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from the eternal flame at National War Memorial, New Delhi. The flame has been carried by a team of motorcyclists over 11 towns and cities and will finally merge with the flame at Kargil War Memorial, Dras on Friday.

Several other Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal also tweeted on the occasion to pay their tributes.
