Some of her most memorable roles have been opposite her mentor and co-star Salman Khan.

Even though the actor's first film, Boom, is a 2003 release, she was actually launched in the 2005 hit film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (MPKK), opposite Salman himself. She played his obsessive lover. The role was hardly challenging, yet an actress of British origin pulling off the role of an Indian woman really worked for the audience. From MPKK, there was no looking back for Katrina.

Katrina Kaif's main strength is her ability to pair opposite the top male stars of the film industry exceptionally well. In 2007, she was cast alongside Akshay Kumar in Namastey London. Her performance as Jazz/Jasmeet, a Punjabi girl who stays in London and is more British than Indian until she meets Arjun (Akshay's character), is still unforgettable for many of her fans. Their sizzling on-screen chemistry in the Vipul Shah directorial paved the way for Katrina to become a superstar within just two years of her joining the industry.

Katrina went on to break her own box office records through a variety of roles, be it the girl-next-door in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), an item girl in Agneepath (2012), or an action heroine in Yash Raj Films such as Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Dhoom 3 (2013). Despite a lot of criticism for her acting talent, Katrina's choice of films has often been good enough to keep her relevant and one of the most sought-after actors in the industry. Some of her most memorable films include Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), in which she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan for the first time, and Jagga Jasoos (2017). Though Katrina might not be Indian by origin, her heart will always belong to the country's cinema and she is here to stay for a long period of time.
