'Knew This Was The Story I Wanted To Tell': Director Mukesh Chhabra Thanks Author John Green For 'The Fault In Our Stars'

As 'The Fault in Our Stars' completed 5 years of its release, 'Dil Bechara' director Mukesh Chhabra who claims to be very much influenced by the love saga took to Twitter and penned an emotional note thanking author John Green.

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and 'Hindi Medium' fame Sanjana Sanghi have paired up to remake one of the most iconic love stories- 'The Fault in Our Stars'. The Mukesh Chhabra directorial 'Dil Bechara' is based on John Green’s 2012 book 'The Fault In Our Stars', which was also adapted into the 2013 movie starring Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley in Hollywood. 

As the film completed 5 years of its release,  director Mukesh Chhabra, who claims to be very much influenced by the love saga took to Twitter and penned an emotional note thanking author John Green for 'The Fault in Our Stars'.

In a recent post, the debutant director put forward a video comparing Sushant and Sanjana's look from the upcoming film with Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley's look from the Hollywood venture.

In the post, Chhabra wrote, "From the moment I saw it 5 years ago, I knew this was the story I wanted to tell in my first film! Thank you @shailenewoodley @AnselElgort and @johngreen or bringing these characters in my life. #TheFaultInOurStars #DilBechara @itsSSR @sanjanasanghi96 @foxstarhindi"

Earlier titled as 'Kizie aur Manny', the movie is all set to re-create the magical love story in 'Hind'. Sushant and Sanjana's look from the film has been previously unveiled by the makers. It is all set to release on November 29, 2019.

Meanwhile, this is not the only Hollywood remake Sushant is working on. He is also roped for Tarun Mansukhani's 'Drive', an upcoming action drama film, which is a remake of the 2011 American film 'Drive'. It is produced by Karan Johar and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Vikramjeet Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, and Sapna Pabbi in the lead.
