Koffee With Karan Season 6 | Saif Ali Khan Reveals What He Wrote To Amrita Singh On The Day Of His Wedding With Kareena Kapoor Khan

Saif Ali Khan’s personal life has always been in the news. From his marriage to Amrita Singh in 1991, their split, his link-ups, before finally tying the knot with Kareena Kapoor Khan, have all been a part of the gossip mills. With Sara Ali Khan, making her debut soon, there’s no doubt that the spotlight comes on Saif's equation with Amrita, as people introduce Sara as their daughter. The ‘Omkara’ star generally doesn’t open up about his equation with Amrita, and journalists are also generally apprehensive to ask him for fear of angering him. However, the actor recently shared an important anecdote about her on ‘Koffee with Karan’ recently where he featured with Sara.

Saif revealed that on the day of his wedding with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara was very excited. But before he met his daughter, the actor wrote a letter to Amrita where he spoke about the new chapter in his life, with a message of good wishes and on the lines of ‘carry on’ despite their ‘history’ together. He even showed it to Kareena, who said it was ‘really nice.’ After Saif sent across the letter, Sara called him and said how she was coming to the wedding with a ‘happy heart even more.'

Saif said on the show, "When I was getting married to Kareena and Sara was very excited and wanted to come over. For some reason, before going down I wrote a note to Amrita (Singh). And I said, 'You know this is a new chapter starting and you know, we've had our history and everything.' Something along the lines of good wishes, I hope for both of us and something, you know to carry on, I sent it to Kareena. And I said, 'Have a look at this, if it's ok, I'm thinking of sending it across.' And Kareena said, 'I think it's really nice.' I sent it across and then Sara called me and said, 'You know I was coming anyway but now I am coming with a happy heart even more.'” 

Sara then revealed that it was Amrita who dressed her up to go for the wedding. She also shared how people were judgemental about Kareena and Amrita’s equation, saying they are being ‘weird.’ She said, "I must tell you mom dressed me for my father's wedding" and added, "So, a lot of people would have been of the opinion like Kareena was being weird and mom was being weird."

Sara has since then regularly been seen at Saif’s house and also bonded with Kareena. The actor, who will make her debut with ‘Kedarnath’, had also praised the 'Jab We Met' star at the trailer launch of the film.
