Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan to be joined by 3 Idiots co-star

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are coming together on the big screen after eight years with Laal Singh Chaddha. While the actor duo recently reunited with each other, they are also gearing up to reunite with another of their co-stars from their most popular film together, 3 Idiots. It’s not one of the ‘Idiots’, but one who played a small but significant role. Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin fame Mona Singh has come on board the Advait Chandan directorial.

Mona Singh is all set to join the cast soon and confirmed the news to a tabloid. She revealed that she is looking forward to the shoot. She compared the opportunity to do the film like a ‘box of wishes’ turning out to be true like life is a ‘box of chocolates’. The actor added that the role will be ‘exciting’ and ‘challenging’ for because her character spans a lifetime. 

Mona is considered a veteran of the TV industry. Having shot to fame with Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, she went on to work in several TV shows over the course of her career. She was last seen in the web series M.O.M. - Mission Over Mars.

Mona Singh had played the role of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s sister in 3 Idiots. She was a part of one of the funniest scenes of the movie, when Aamir goes to propose Kareena at her house. He accidentally holds Mona's hand, and confesses his feelings. Mona Singh is then  seen as pregnant and the baby in her stomach starts kicking after hearing Aamir's ‘Aal Izz Well’ words. The most intense moments in the movie take place after that, when Aamir Khan with his help of his skillful ideas help deliver Mona Singh’s baby when the city is flooded and electricity goes off.

Laal Singh Chaddha 

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official adaptation of Tom Hanks’ cult classic Forrest Gump. Aamir Khan will be seen playing the role of a Sikh man in the movie. The movie is directed by Aamir’s former manager Advait Chandan, who had helmed the successful Secret Superstar in 2017.  It releases on Christmas 2020.

The team is shooting for the movie in Chandigarh. The team, also including Aamir, his wife Kiran Rao, Kareena, were seen celebrating after the completion of shooting. Taimur Ali Khan has also been spotted on the sets.
