If you were left mesmerised by the stunning visuals of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding shared on Tuesday, 4 December, you have two persons to thank for the experience. Veteran designers of the film industry, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are the brains behind what we saw at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla conceptualised, visualised and designed the wedding. The dazzled response from all who experienced the visuals prove that they did an outstanding job with the entire planning.
However, the duo’s contribution to Priyanka-Nick's wedding doesn’t stop at that. They had also designed the couple’s outfits for the other two important rituals, the Sangeet and the Mehendi, that took place a day prior to their wedding, on 30 November. For the Mehendi, Priyanka donned a folksy, multi-hued organdy ensemble while Nick was dressed in a Bakhiya kurta.
Peecee’s saree for the Sangeet had brought back memories of her ‘Desi Girl’ avatar in the song from the movie ‘Dostana’ while Nick donned a midnight blue silk sherwani.
’Nickyanka’ got married according to Christian and Hindu traditions on December 1 and 2. The newlyweds also hosted a reception in Delhi on 4 December where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the attendees. Their wedding celebrations are likely to conclude with another reception later this month.
