Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen bowled the audience over with her ramp walk on ‘Umrao Jaan’ hit song ‘In aankhon ki masti mein’ at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2018 in Mumbai.

The 42-year-old former beauty queen donned a shimmery lehenga-choli with a sheer dupatta on her head of brand Kotwara by Meera and Muzaffar Ali. The outfit was part of the collection titled ‘Samanzar - A Garden of Flowers’.

The collection by "Umrao Jaan" filmmaker Ali and his wife showcased innovated forms of Chikankari, Zardozi, Aari and Muqqaish, including the creation of silhouettes, with fine muslin, sheer chiffons that blend with velvet and brocade.

Sushmita said she "felt like a princess and a bride" in the ensemble.

"Magical was the feeling while walking the runway. I always love walking the runway in Mumbai. I feel like I am home with my family and people are hooting for me. Looking royal is very easy with House of Kotwara," Sushmita told the media at LFW.

While sharing her ramp walk pictures and videos, Sushmita Sen mentioned how it was a tribute to veteran actor Rekha, the original Umrao Jaan.

On the Bollywood front, Sushmita Sen says she has lots of aspirations like a 12-year-old child and one of the things that tops her long list is doing a movie with which she can "take a bow".

Sen, who was last seen in the acclaimed 2015 Bengali film "Nirbaak" (Speechless), said she owes it to her fans who continue to shower her with love and admiration.

"I have many things to do. I have to do a film with which I can take a bow. I would like to give back all the love...I owe it to the people who love me. It doesn’t matter if they are five or five thousand. I have to do a film for them and make sure that it's a huge hit. I'm taking my time but I’ll do it," Sen told the reporters.

"I want to learn skiing and parallel bar gymnastics. I want to go back to diving," she added.

She said she feels blessed to be still asked about her next film, as there is a norm that the career of an actor is over "when they reach a certain age".

"(The people say) That we have seen enough of them, they are past their screen age, etc. I'm one of those blessed people who are asked even today, when are you going to feature in a film," she said.

LFW Summer/Resort 2018 started on January 31 and concluded on February 4.

Sushmita Sen, meanwhile, has been giving her fans fitness goals. Her Instagram feed is filled with photos and videos of her workout and fitness regimen. Need some inspiration to hit the gym? Take a look at these posts:
