Deepika Padukone added another feature to her illustrious hat by making her debut as a wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds in London. The unveiling was graced by the actress’ two families, the Padukones and the Bhavnanis, and the pictures and the videos of the beautiful wax statue, looking almost like her real self, including husband Ranveer Singh's quirky reactions had all made headlines. Like another important moment of her life, her wedding, Sabyasachi Mukherjee played a part in this one. The ‘Tamasha’ star’s ivory caped Indo-Western-style ensemble with floral embellishments was put together by the designer.
As is usually the norm with wax statues, the stars choose their best looks or moments to be recreated. The ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ star chose one from the IIFA Awards held in 2016.
Sabyasachi refreshed the memories to show his long-standing association with Deepika and seemed to express pride about the wax figure donning a Sabyasachi outfit by sharing the latest pictures on Instagram stories.
Sabyasachi was very much in the news over the entire period of the 'wedding season' of DeepVeer. Speculations of him designing the Deepika and Ranveer's outfits had started days before the marriage and his designs made headlines right up till their numerous reception parties.
The other reason why Deepika might have chosen the outfit could be because she had won the Best Actress award that night for ‘Piku’. 2015 has often been termed as a turning point in the actress’ career, and her performances in the Shoojit Sircar directorial and ‘Tamasha’ are arguably considered her two best acts.
