Actor Kunal Kemmu is awaiting the release of his latest film, Lootcase. The comedy film also features seasoned actors such as Vijay Raaz, Gajraj Rao, Ranvir Shorey and Rasika Duggal. Lootcase is directed by Rajesh Krishnan and is produced by Fox Star Studios. The film is garnering high expectations from audiences and the mystery around the central object, Kunal Khemu's bag, is raising a lot of intrigue around the film.

The plot of the film is centred on the lead character, Vijay, played by Kunal Kemmu. Vijay is the typical 'middle-class aadmi' and suffers from financial problems in his household. Vijay's world changes when he stumbles upon a red suitcase that is filled with money. While he is relieved to find this treasure, Vijay does not realise that a ‘shaatir MLA’, ‘junglee don’ and ‘honhaar cop’ are hot on their heels behind the red suitcase, which Vijay affectionately has named as 'Bagwati.'

The name "Bagwati" might ring a bell in the minds of die-hard Bollywood fans. This is because it was the same name used by Farhan Akhtar in the 2011 film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. In the Zoya Akhtar directorial, which also featured Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin, three male best friends take a trip across Spain. Farhan Akhtar's character, Imran, places a hat on his bag and gives it the name "Bagwati." The name became an iconic part of the film and has been referenced in Lootcase.

The makers of Lootcase have created quite a buzz around the film, with their innovative posters and promotional campaigns. The film was scheduled for a theatrical release on October 11. However, Fox Star Studios decided to have an OTT (Over-The-Top) streaming release for the film instead. While they have full faith in the film, the studio felt the theatrical release would not help them recoup their investment in the film.
