Actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to launch the teaser of her much-awaited film 'Manikarnika- the Queen of Jhansi' on October 2, 2018. While the movie is near to completion, it still requires some patchwork and Kangana has donned the director's hat for the same. The rest of the film is being shot at Nitin Desai Studios in Karjat, near Mumbai. Kangana has now taken charge as director of the film and is also keen to give it her own touch with help from action director Nick Powell. Reports are rife that the 'Simran' actor will also shoot a special song for the upcoming period film.
Kangana Ranaut is all set to shoot for a classical number with on-screen husband played by Jisshu Sengupta that will be choreographed by ace choreographer Saroj Khan. While Saroj Khan will be directing a classical number in 'Manikarnika' for Kangana Ranaut, the other song featuring Ankita Lokhande is in the works.
Reports suggest that Saroj Khan has been brought on board to choreograph a special classical number which has the essence of romance in it. While rehearsals have been on since a few weeks now, the team will start shooting for the song from September 18 and a set has been created for the same at Nitin Desai’s studio in Karjat. The latest development is that with some parts of the film being reshot, the budget of the film rose to Rs 100 crores from Rs 70 crores.
The 'Queen' actress is presently shooting patchwork scenes with action director Nick Powell. A photograph from the sets of the film featuring Kangana Ranaut recently went viral on social media. In the picture, she had splashes of blood on her as she was shooting for an action sequence. In the picture, the 'Tanu Weds Manu' actress is seen listening to the narration and checking the frames. The actress is known to be a perfectionist and always wants to give her best shot.
Reportedly, there are also plans to shoot another song in which Ankita Lokhande’s who is reportedly essaying Jhalkaribai in the song, will be seen celebrating the queen’s arrival. The song is scheduled to be shot over a period of five days at ND Studio.
